Detail 4 of 4: Considered materials

Considered materials

Chosen to last, and to stay out of the way.

Considered materials

A sign worn on the body should be made of something that outlasts a season. We keep the palette narrow and the finishes few, so the garment recedes and the mark does the speaking.

A narrow palette
Black, charcoal, heather grey, ivory, white and maroon. Ink and stone, with gold used sparingly.
Heavyweight fleece
The hoodies are cut from heavyweight fleece. Weight gives a garment its drape, and it is the first thing that makes a piece feel made to be kept.
Gold, and brass
Gold appears as gilded ink on the large artwork and as embroidered thread on the hat. The Christogram Hat closes with a brass buckle.
