The emblem is the quiet half of every piece: a small Chi-Rho and, on some pieces, the word PIETAS, placed where a person would once have carried a medal or a cross.
It is the same sign carried on the large artwork, reduced to a size that sits on the chest or the cap without announcing itself.
Pietas
The old Roman virtue of dutiful devotion to God, family and country. It is embroidered in gold across the back of the Christogram Hat above the brass buckle, and sits on the chest of the Quis ut Deus Tee.
On the cap
On the side panels of the Christogram Hat, the Alpha and Omega are embroidered in gold, with the Chi-Rho on the front between them.
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm.”
